Although we share the same office space, it is to be understood that we are each independent contractors working in a common location. Each therapist is solely responsible for the treatment that they provide to their own clients.
Denise Caldwell
MSW, LCSW

She earned her Master of Social Work degree at Temple University in 2004 and her undergrad degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1992 in psychology and sociology. Her work experience ranges from home-based family therapist, school social worker, mobile therapist, and private clinician of children, teens and adults helping with various types of issue such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship conflict.
In 2006, Denise opened her own private practice in Bloomsburg, PA. Through her private practice, she addresses many clinical issues through various interventions listed above. She loves teaching other therapists about how to use these various techniques to help others. She has done trainings on various clinical topics and has also taught social work/play therapy instruction at Luzerne County Community College, Temple University and Marywood University as an adjunct professor. She also provides consultation to other clinicians online and in person. She recently has enjoyed helping to mentor new IFS trainees as a Program Assistant for online trainings of the model.
Maurissa Laudeman
LCSW

Maurissa Laudeman is a licensed clinical social worker with 6 years of social work experience with children, teens and adults. She is a member of the Association of Play Therapy and the National Association of Social Workers. Maurissa is trained in Play Therapy and holds a graduate certificate in Play Therapy from Temple University. She is also trained in the use of EMDR.
Maurissa earned her Masters of Social Work degree at Marywood University. Her experience ranges from medical social work, to addictions and co-occurring disorders, and treatment of children, teens and adults with various issues such as trauma, anxiety, and depression.
In 2020, Maurissa joined Caldwell Family Counseling to focus on Play Therapy and trauma informed treatments. In private practice, she addresses many clinical issues through Child Centered Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and other directive play therapy interventions. She also utilizes EMDR with children, teen, and adult clients. Because of COVID and the necessity to be more proficient in Telemental Health (TMH), she is also became a certified TMH clinician.
